Who we are
The Cluster Competitiveness Activity (CCA), sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is a four year program to assist businesses in the wood processing and tourism sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). These sectors have been identified by USAID as ones with great potential for economic development.
Businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) face increasing competition in a demanding global market. To succeed in this environment, interrelated businesses must work together to develop and implement strategies that result in improved products and services that meet customer demand.
To increase productivity and profitability, businesses in the tourism and wood processing sectors must produce goods and services of higher added value and use the country’s natural and human resources to produce high quality products and services. Adding value to existing resources creates jobs and raises wages. Quality improvements, when implemented strategically and in response to market demand, can increase domestic consumption, exports, and the rate of economic growth.
